Ava's Photo Diary.

Now that summer is upon us and my classes are over, I’m going to be posting more and more often…..starting next week. This weekend Cedric and I are flying out to Finland for a relative’s wedding. I just adore weddings. I’ve decided that my backup career is as a wedding planner. Or crasher. Either one.

I will probably not have enough time to post photos while I’m there, but I’ll try to keep you updated! Love you all! <3

Yesterday I realized that my foundation was almost empty, and the only color I had was too light for me since I’ve been getting tan. So I went to Bloomingdale’s and tried a lot of products. They were all so amazing but my favorite was the Phyto-Teint Éclat foundation from Sisley. (My color is Soft Beige.) It covers every error on the skin perfectly without feeling too cakey and heavy. It’s the perfect texture! I recommend this product to anyone. The only downside is that it’s pretty expensive. I got mine for almost $100. Unless price is an issue, you should totally check out Sisley. I think it’s my new obsession! I also took home a few testers to see if their other products are as good. Hopefully they don’t go for quite as much as the foundation! (;

PS- don’t comment on my fingernails. I need a manicure, I know!

New ins!

Picture one is of my new Zara blazer. I found it for around $75. Everything about it is perfect: the color, the pocket, the buttons, the collar, etc. I adore this blazer!

Picture two shows my new makeup. In the pink jar is my Lancome Effet Miracle Primer. Also got a Clinique eyeliner pencil. I’ve never tried the primer before. I’m hoping it mixes well with my foundation.

Picture three is my new Henri Lloyd polo. I was looking for something plain to wear to a casual summer barbeque or a small get together.

Picture four is of my new Henri Lloyd sandals. I buy a new pair of these every single year. Two years ago they were green, last year they were blue, and this year they are brown!

Last but not least are some pictures of a blouse I found while thrifting. Very cute. I paid only 20 dollars for it!

Outfit of the day! New blazer from Zara, blouse from Zara, pants from H&M, heels from Nelly, and a bracelet from Guess.

I’m so sorry for not posting! The past week or two has been so busy that I have barely had time to catch my breath. But you know what, I’ve decided to stop making excuses (starting now) and get back to posting daily. For starters, I want to show some new furniture items that we have in the new apartment.

Picture one is of a little TV stand, which I can’t decide whether to paint or not. I may leave it as is, since we’ve got a wooden theme going on throughout the house. Second are some shelves that I picked up at IKEA. They middle part is removable so the two shelves can go on opposite sides of a room if need be. Third is a photo of our coffee table! Look, you can see me in the background having a glass of wine while reading my book. (I’m so classy.) Last but not least is our current table set up. I’m really liking this, I feel like it fits a lot better than where the table was placed in the old apartment. It was sort of in the middle of the living room, and it didn’t quite fit…

Anyway, that’s all for now! I hope you all enjoyed. Please forgive my absence, again. I love you all. <3

Doing the 30 day photo challenge in one post because I’m a boss. Ignore this entire post, I get silly when I’m sick for too long.

These days we never get the chance to eat breakfast, but yesterday I decided to surprise Cedric with some yummy fruit tarts! It was so nice to sleep in until mid-morning, then get up and make a big breakfast without being in a hurry. We ate in the sunroom. Yesterday was so peaceful for a change.

This is how I spent my night… I have a big exam on Monday that makes up around 15% of our grade. I’m so tired and pulling an all-nighter did not help my sickness. I will have no time to study today or tomorrow morning because I have family coming over and in addition I have to go shopping and prepare meals for them, so it looks like Sunday night I’ll have another all-night study session. I’m feeling worse and worse, despite drinking tea and taking medicine. I will probably go to the doctor soon, as I’m afraid I have some sort of throat infection. ):

New shoes! I bought these from Nelly for only about $20 each. AH! I’m so excited. I love shoes, and even more, I love great deals on shoes. I totally recommend checking out Nelly. I think it’s like a classier version of Forever 21, with the same awesome prices.
